Description
The Scissor Lift Safety course introduces workers on the jobsite to the main contributors of scissor lift fall and tip over hazards, and what they can do to mitigate hazardous situations on the jobsite. Starting with a brief overview of course expectations, we then explore a number of topics including fall protection, stabilization, positioning, hazardous situations, inspecting scissor lifts, and training requirements for operating a lift.
Objectives
- Discuss what scissor lifts are used for
- Identify the top 3 contributors to scissor lift SIFs
- Identify potentially hazardous situations
- Properly inspect and test your scissor lift and jobsite terrain
- Identify the training requirements for operating a scissor lift
