Description
This course is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary for the safe and efficient operation of handheld circular saws in construction settings. Participants will learn the importance of pre-operation inspections, covering aspects such as blade condition, guard functionality, and power cord integrity. Emphasis is placed on planning and communication to ensure a safe cutting environment, and participants will be trained on proper technique, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the handling of potential hazards like sawdust and debris. Objectives
- Describe how to conduct a thorough pre-operation inspection of a handheld circular saw, including checks on blade condition, guards, power cord integrity, and appropriate blade type for the material
