Description
This course is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge and skills for the safe and effective operation of jigsaws, also known as scroll saws, especially in scenarios requiring precision cuts, intricate curves, or patterns. Participants will learn about the structure and function of jigsaws, including the reciprocating motion of thin blades secured by upper and lower chucks. Emphasis is placed on safety protocols, starting with pre-operation inspections, awareness of potential finger and hand injuries, and the use of hand protection for the free hand handling the material. The course covers one-handed operation, material manipulation techniques, and the importance of maintaining a vigilant approach despite the perceived safety of the tool.
Objectives
