Noise in the workplace and the resulting hearing damage is a big safety issue for companies, as you will discover in the elearning course, Hearing Protection. In this course we will discuss hearing protection and why occupational hearing loss can be a gradual process that is less noticeable than other safety issues. We will review what hazardous noise levels are, the various types of hearing PPE, and the employer's responsibility around hearing protection. Finally, we will review how to care for your hearing PPE and how to test its effectiveness prior to daily use.
