In Driving Safety: Commercial Driver's License (CDL): 03. Transporting Cargo, you'll learn how to safely load and carry cargo on commercial vehicles, a topic that is included in the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) knowledge test. In addition to using your state’s CDL manual, this course will help prepare you for the exam by outlining the responsibilities and requirements for commercial drivers carrying freight. You’ll learn about how and when to inspect the vehicle, as well as the various weight and load limits that must not be exceeded. By taking this course, you’ll be in a better position to pass the CDL knowledge test, and have a greater understanding of how to safely operate a commercial vehicle. This brief course is the third part of our series on the CDL. It includes a final exam and a printable course document for easy reference.
